Florence Akanbi is a board-certified Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner and the medical director at BISAK Healthcare Systems. She is dedicated to the evidence-based treatment of psychiatric disorders and the rehabilitation of less privileged individuals back to the community.
She approaches mental health problems in a unique and comprehensive way that is rooted in listening to a person’s life story and through the approach of assessment of how current circumstances, family history, and genetics impact a patient’s presentation, she has been able to successfully helped patients of all ages overcome mental health challenges. “Come as you are and I can help with your mental health issues,” Florence said.
She is currently accepting new patients of all ages and clients can be seen the same day or make appointments to be seen for mental health evaluation, diagnoses, psychotherapy, and possible medication treatment options if necessary. She facilitates collaboration between clients’ physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals; and shows clients how to advocate for themselves.
